Video Review

I watched the DVD "Read and Share Bible, The Jesus Series: Life and Miracles" and I had mixed feelings about it. I thought the animation was cute. Other than that, I'm not sure it is a DVD that children will want to watch. Unless of course, they are so young that they don't understand it. The story used words that children will not be familiar with (such as Rabbi,etc) since these words are barely used in a Sunday school classroom. The story also did not focus so much on Jesus' life and miracles as I thought it would. It portrayed some miracles, but focused more on Judas receiving bribe money, which I thought was strange for a childrens video.
Overall, I would recommend this for young children, but once they are at the age where they are beginning to understand the stories, this DVD may confuse them a bit. I don't have children, so I really cannot be sure what age group, but based on how my nephews act, I would say that once they turn three, they will not be interested in it.
